All the things stated in this lesson are true in general, but there are some exceptions.
That is for words of foreign origin.
You can only know this by learning the words.

But it is also important to know that verbs of present tense always end with 'yor' + person. Only the character before 'yor' is subject to vocal harmony and after that it stops.
Example:
'götürüyorum'
'götür' is the first part, and after that comes
'ü' still following vocal harmony, but then it stops and goes on with standard:
yor
and the personal extension also standard:
um/sun/-/uz/sunuz/lar
