Girl Fight
Lesson 94intermediate Turkish Intermediate
Girl Fight
Yo dog, today we're getting down with Turkish slang and colloquial spelling in today's lesson. Check it. (Beware - words are spelled strangely today on purpose.)
Colloquial speaking and spelling.
Psst! Want to access
everything in this lesson?

Justin, in the review part, in the fourth sentence of the first question if "de" means "also" I think it should be "da" instead, right?
I know it is a very trivial typo and I am sure you always do your best, but because I love this site veeeeeeeeery much I don't really want other people/ students to find any single mistake here even if it is a tiny one.

Allah Bless your efforts :) :)

Şeyma
I have a question that has nothing to do with this lesson but as I'm not using facebook anymore I'm going to post it here so pardon :$
with the verb "öğrenmek" if I want to say for example I'm learning Turkish by myself should I say : "kendi kendime Türkçe öğreniyorum" or "kendi kendime Türkçeyi öğreniyorum" or both are correct ?? I think you've already mentioned that before but I just can't remember in which lesson..
Thanks in advance :))

@Şeyma - çok ozür dilerim. I don't know how I missed your comment.

Both of your sentences are grammatically correct. However, "Türkçe öğreniyorum" is the correct usage for what you're looking for. "Türkçeyi öğreniyorum" (with the accusative) puts a certain focal stress on Türkçe that implies "I am learning Turkish, and not some other language." So, it's perfectly fine, but in a specific context.

Hope that helps!
