"Çok yaşa" is what you say to someone when they sneeze. The set response is either "sen de gör" or "hep beraber."

Busra says three words in the introduction
"Hadi Bakalim ...... "
I couldn't catch the last word, could you help me out.
I think it means "quick lets look."

I think you're referring to when she says, "Hadi bakalım dinleyelim."

That comes from dinlemek = to listen.

Dinleyelim = let's listen. Like gidelim.

Why is there no ablative case in this sentence: Eski işinizi niye bıraktınız?
Does bırakmak not carry the connotation of leaving/movement from something?

Good question! The answer probably isn't going to be very satisfying, but it's simply because bırakmak forces an accusative object instead of an ablative one. You're thinking about the language in the right way, which is great - but in this particular case, your (sound) intuition leads to the wrong conclusion. The same has happened to me a million times.

Interestingly, there are other ways to say "to quit a job" that do use the ablative. Again, that's just a feature of the verbs involved.

İşten çıktım.
İşten ayrıldım.
...
İşi bıraktım.

Interesting :

İşten çıkmak = to exit from a job
İşten ayrılmak = to separate from a job.

İşi bırakmak = to leave a job

if that is any help. Doesn't work for everything, though.
