Regarding the sapsarı şapka sentence: I learned that a hat is something that you "attach" (takmak, like an earring) rather than "wear" (giymek, like pants). Could context make a difference here, or is a hat always "worn" like pants or a dress?

sapka giymek or takmak, both are fine... actually giymek is more commonly used.

Merhaba! I wonder if there is a word missing in this line in the Dialog:

... kulağına takılı uzunca bir an sanki havada durdu ve sonra da kendiliğinden düştü.

Shouldn't it be "kulağına takılı küpe"?
