Merhaba! I just wanted to thank you for this awesome site! I've been taking Turkish lessons for several months, but I had to stop because I'm too busy with college. I've been looking for something quick & efficient to continue my learning, & I must say that your website is by far the most fun, & practical one I've found. Çok teşekkür ederim!

Yeah, but what about bu-an-da, şu-an-da ?

Şu anda is very similar to "şimdi." It doesn't carry the "from now on" implications of artık. It literally means "at this moment."

Bu anda is also very similar, but not as frequently used. It really emphasizes immediacy. "At this very moment."

Sorry Hüseyin, I made a mistake in my first comment. I edited to be more accurate.

So in it's positive form does it relate closely to 'itibaren', it seems so from this definition, which by the way was the clearest I've ever seen 'artik' explained anywhere, so thank you.
